Hey all!
I hope this email finds you doing amazing! Just wanted to quickly update you on what's been going on and what's going to happen : )
First off, check out the latest episode of "Millionaire Matchmaker" on Bravo. I make a nice musical cameo on the Dylan Smith episode. Also, I will be the musical guest on The Brian McKnight show very soon! Big shout out to Brian for hooking it up!
Next, my debut album was picked as one of the Top 10 best of 2009 in a Japanese magazine called BMR. Also on the chart was Maxwell and Mariah Carey, so some really heavy company. It's an absolute honor! I attached the picture below.
"C Notes for Haiti" is a compilation album that I am proud to be a part of. The CD will be released on April 13th and all of the proceeds go to help Haiti. Please help support great music and an even greater cause!
My song "One of Those Nights" has not only won the John Lennon Contest and the 2008 Maxell Song of the Year, but it also just became a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition for best jazz song. Say a prayer for me that I win this one!
And last, Musicheck Live across America is a tour beginning on June 1st that I'll be headlining. The tour also features the always amazing Javier, Jacob Luttrell and Erin Boehme. It's shaping up to be an AMAZING show and we're hitting 14 cities all summer long. The full schedule is on my Myspace page, www.myspace.com/mattcusson. Would LOVE your support and I promise not to disappoint! Also don't forget I'm still touring with Brian McKnight, one of the best live artists I've ever seen, and we're doing shows all year around! As well as playing some keys and doing some scoring for the McKnight and Vivica Fox play, "Cheaper to Keep Her". Hope to see you all out there!
I'm working really hard on the second album and I'm hoping to get it out by winter!
